Every Year State Level Sports and Cultural competition for inmates of Educational Home-under the Directorate of MEE is held at Kolkata. Cultural Competition 2024 for inmates o Educational Homes was held at EZCC, Kolkata. Abir Chatterjee, eminent actor in Benga Cinema was present in that occasion.
In the FY 2024-2025, the Sports Competition was held at Kalimpong in collaboration w GTA and Kalimpong District Administration and Cultural Competition 2025 were held Murshidabad district. This venture was started so as to provide the children staying in Homes a first hand experience of the natural and historical diversity in different dist of WB.
Educational Homes administered by MEE Directorate try to impart quality educ among the inmates hailing from marginalized sections of the society, which may cycles of poverty, foster personal growth and enable these children to become productive members of society.
Special education is a tailored approach to teaching and supporting children with special needs. It involves individualized instruction, adapted materials, and specialized sup services to help these students of the Sponsored Special schools under the Administration Department of MEE & LS succeed academically and socially.
A State Level residential Dance and Theatre workshop for interested inmates of Educational Homes under the Directorate of MEE was organised in August 2024 at ICMARD. The Workshop was conducted by eminent theatre and dance personalities.
